The Festival continues a wide range of programs including Films of Conflict & Resolution, Pitch In for Social Documentaries-in-Progress, Views from Long Island, A Conversation With, Rowdy Talks and many additional programs celebrating our 20th Year
The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation and the Hamptons International Film Festival read hundreds of science- and technology-themed screenplays each year, searching for the most exciting and promising work on these topics. Just two of these scripts are invited for table readings at the Hamptons International Film Festival each year.

THE BUCK DECISION by Laura Oaksmith
George Stoddart, a reporter with two strikes against him, investigates a huge hospital cover-up, bringing one of the nation's biggest atrocities to light, and finding redemption, not only for himself, but for the victims involved.
MAGNETIC by Carolyn Kras
William Gilbert, a brilliant scientist who discovers the earth is a magnet, is ordered to save Queen Elizabeth I from a mysterious illness. As he uncovers her personal secrets, an intense but dangerous attraction develops between them in which any misstep could cost him his life.
In this celebratory 20th year the Festival is proud to present a dynamic and diverse group of films, filmmakers, industry and talent that will come to the Hamptons for this festival milestone. The 2012 Festival runs from Thursday, October 4th through Monday October 8th in East Hampton with additional venues in South Hampton, Sag Harbor, West Hampton and Montauk. Festival headquarters are located at the beautiful c/o The Maidstone Hotel on Main Street in East Hampton.
