Detailed summary:

Ned has his eyes on a new girl Katie. Kati's family is also Delia's clients. He tells his mom he will do her a favor and drop off their paperwork. Just as he is putting the moves on her, Katie's brother comes by to pick her up. Her brother Mike is very anti-social and demands Katie to leave right away. Because she leaves in such a hurry, she forgets to take the paperwork with her.

Ned tries to run after her, but is too late. As Katie and her brother are getting into their parents car, the soda machine has a mind of its own and starts wailing cans at him. Melinda happens to see this take place and goes over to help. Before she can, Melinda gets caught up in a vision of knee deep mud. The family hurriedly leaves.

Melinda suspects ghosts and Ned doesn't believe it. She goes with Delia to Katie's parents house. Glen (Steven Culp) opens the door and in a twisted shock to Melinda, the entire family's faces are muddled. Before they can come inside, Glen tells them they were just on their way out.

Melinda and Delia leave as quickly as possible when they see Ned and Katie coming back to her house. Inside, Ned tries to help Katie fix her computer when the sink explodes with mud. Her parents come back and make Ned leave.

The next day, Katie's brother stops by Melinda's store to bring a jar of jelly. When he gives her the jar, Melinda has a vision of Katie's brother and some girl. In the vision, he is furious and rips off her necklace. It is the same necklace he wears today. Aiden is also at the shop and ends up drawing the necklace eluding to the fact that he saw everything Melinda did..

Ned confronts Katie about their lies and tells her Melinda's ability to see ghost. This ghost is mad at her family and Ned offers Melinda's help so that they can stop running. She isn't able to give him any information, except her real name is Rachel.

With her real name, the police are able to track down who her family is. The family is an environmental group that trade to prevent people from building on wetlands. The ghost is a security guard that was murdered at the scene. Because he was murdered the family has had to go into hiding, only to be one step ahead of the police.

Melinda speaks with the ghost Trevor. He tells her that Trevor and Glen joined Greenfund together. Trevor got the security job as an "in" to lay the work for mass destruction. His plans were a lot bigger than Katie's dad and was left to do it on his own which somehow killed him. He blames Glen for leaving him back and allowing him to die.

Presently on the run, the family gets pulled over by the police. They are being held at gun point and both Katie's parents get out of the car. Katie has the option to run, but ends up taking the keys out of the ignition and throwing them out of the window. She is done and too tired to run anymore.

Melinda gets there and asks the agent if she could have a word with Glen and Trevor alone. She explains to Trevor that Glen never left him there to die - that he came back and saw his dead body. What Trevor didn't remember is that when he fell into the mud he killed himself.

Trevor realizes the Glen was nothing but a good friend that put his family first (as he should!). He tells Melinda that in his mother attic there are a bunce of letters that he wrote showing he was apart of the underground group as well. Because he is able to let go, Trevor goes into the light.

Because the police gets the letter they will not press murder charges on Rachel's parents. Her and Ned are able to date and even Rachel's brother is going to try and get back together with his ex. (c) tvfanatic.com

Detailed summary:

Once again this week, Ned gets involved with a girl who is haunted. You can't hold it against him since he can't see/hear ghosts to know if he is getting into a muddy situation or not, and the writers do have to find ways to keep Ned involved in most episodes since he is a regular character.

To my delight, and I'm sure a few other viewers, Steven Culp guest stars in the episode! I have been a fan since he first appeared on JAG as Special Agent Clayton Webb and have been missing him as Rex Van Der Kamp on Desperate Housewives since his character was killed off.

Was Melinda able to get both Ned and Steven Culp's character out of their muddy haunting? My two cents coming up!

'm glad that the show didn't make things between Ned and Delia instantly peachy and that they still have things to work on. Sadly, often shows quickly resolve conflicts and move on to the next storyline. The type of conflict that Ned and Delia had is rarely resolved in a second and it usually takes days or weeks to patch everything up. Mother and son are clearly willing to make things work but Ned is still hiding a few things from his mother and Delia still thinks her son could go back to cheating on a girlfriend. But Ned has learned is lesson.

So this week, Ned is interested in new kid on the block, Katie. As we soon discovered, Katie and her family -- brother Mike, mother Diane and father Dave -- are haunted and have been moving a lot. Mike and Katie don't exactly know why they have to change names and move around all the time, but it's clear one of them did something bad.

Now, the writers made it so we would think Mike was to blame by having Aiden and Melinda see images from Mike's past where he rejects a girlfriend and leaves her in the middle of nowhere while it's pouring rain. We soon ask ourselves if the girl died or if she cheated on him and the guy she had an affair with is dead and is seeking revenge somehow, etc. I must say I totally bought the fact that Mike may be the one being haunted and that he was the murdered.

So the twist with Dave/Glenn and now-dead-Trevor surprised me a bit as I wasn't expect it. What I don't get though is why Melinda and Aiden saw the stuff between Mike and Lydia when their stuff had nothing to do with ghost Trevor? Usually, Melinda gets visions that are related to the ghost of the week and I highly doubt Trevor knew about Lydia and that scene. Why did she see Mike leaving Lydia? At first I thought that maybe Lydia is dead but at the end of the episode, if I'm not mistaken, Katie mentions that Mike contacted Lydia so there goes my theory. Could this story not be finished? Did she have does vision of Mike and Lydia because another ghost is haunting the family, more precisely Mike, for what he did to Lydia? Or did the writers mess up? Or do Melinda and Aiden can now have visions that are not brought up by a ghost?

Looks like the Walkers/Blessings may be seen again in the series since the family signed a lease for a year. Therefore, Ned can date Katie/Rachel for a while; we may see Steven Culp again; and if Mike is indeed haunted by a ghost related to Lydia, we could see that in an upcoming episode. (c) tvsquad.com

Detailed summary:

A family who is new in town, with a daughter Ned is attracted to, starts behaving strangely. They seem to be hiding from someone -- and not just the ghost that's haunting them. When Melinda discovers the truth, buried deep in the family's past, it threatens to tear apart not only the family, but a young couple just falling in love. The Walker family is new in town and they're renting a house through one of Delia's listings. She starts to suspect something rather strange when they get cagey about inviting Delia and Melinda inside. When the son is strangely attacked by flying sodas from a vending machine, Melinda believes a ghost is responsible and is even more suspicious when the family simply tries to ignore it.

Delving deeper, Delia discovers the family has no past credit history and they begin to suspect the family is hiding something or hiding from something. Melinda discovers the parents used to be members of an environmental activist group and during their last big stand, a man was killed. This is the ghost that's haunting the family, believing the father, Glenn Blessing, was responsible for his death. The family has been in hiding ever since. But the growing attraction between Ned and the daughter, Katie, helps him to convince her to let Melinda help deal with the ghost part. Unfortunately, the family doesn't see it that way and goes on the run with the police in hot pursuit.

At the standoff, the father finally relents and Melinda is able to get the facts straight between Glenn and the ghost with what really happened. The ghost is crossed over and Glenn is arrested but no longer with the charge of murder. The family can finally stop running and Ned and Katie can have a chance at love. (c) cbs.com
